Lakewood won the last time they faced Ralston Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 11-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.
Madison Reisbeck was excellent, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Lucy Retzer was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Lakewood hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in 15 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Lakewood’s record now sits at 9-3. As for Ralston Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
We’ve got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lakewood is set to face off against their familiar foe Chatfield at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Ralston Valley will challenge rival Arvada West at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
